The learning schedule was NEVER followed or enforced. American History, Grammer and Writing were non-existant subjects in her home. Her lack of knowledge in those areas stresses and embarrasses her.
many parents would do just fine teaching their kids but some would not.
Also, there is no comparison at home, to the social aspect you're child receives at school.
If you feel the content is not getting touched in the detail that it should (which I agree that in you're explanation it is not), I think you should consult someone about it at the school. Maybe the board?
My brother is dealing with the after-effects of you're problem right now in his upper level college math classes. He just doesnt have the background that He needs in order to succeed like his peers. His high school teacher was horrible. She would basically assign her hour of the day as a study hall. She wouldn't even cover the material or assign homework, He said. Needless to say, she was young ... and got "let go".
