ncil | was helping the 8th grade stepdaughter with her math homework tonight and it amazes me that she had no idea how to multiply larger numbers for instance 14x7 to find a least common denominator. when i asked how she could not know that she said you don't have to you just punch the numbers into the calculator and it gives you the answer. unreal!!!! when i was in school i am not saying we couldn't use calculators but we always had to know how to come up with the answer with a pencil and brain first before the teacher would let us use one. just wondering what other parents are seeing | |
