Put outlets on all 4 corners of the house up under the eaves. Good for Christmas lights. Also make sure the garage is big and long enough for a big pickup. Have them deck part of the attic for storage later.
When you get the plans done go to a house that has those sized rooms and make sure they feel big enough. It's hard to just by looking on the plans.
If you have a island in the kitchen make sure the stove, and fridge are on the same side, or at least not opposite.
