Some things to try:

First like Gary says, make sure you disable your firewall and see if it works.

Do you know the LAN side IP address of your router? It should be something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 if it is still on the default. Open a command prompt (Start-->run-->type "cmd" enter), type "ping 192.168.1.1" or whatever your routers LAN side IP address is. You should not get any timeouts.

Check your computers ip address while you are at it, type ipconfig at the prompt. The ip address of the wireless adapter should be the same as the router for the first 3 sets of numbers. The subnet mask should be the same as for your router. The default gateway should be your routers ip address.

If this all looks ok, try to ping www.google.com you should get reply times back.

The ip address range of your computer and router must be in the same range. Most standard setups will use the router as the DHCP server, meaning the router will assign the computer an ip address. Do you know the LAN side IP address of your router? It should be something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 if it is still on the default.

run the network setup wizard and make sure the workgroup name in the router and the computer are the same.

If all this seems ok, post back and we will have to go to networking 201
