Hooker Twp,Ne | As a young boy one of my jobs was washing the eggs. Mom would bring the eggs in the house and I had to place the egg basket full of eggs on a round platform that turned back and forth to wash the eggs. Then wipe them dry each by hand and make sure all the poop was off them and stack in egg box. Mom would go out and help dad milk cows while I was cleaning eggs. Can’t remember what she got for case of eggs but it was grocery money. | |
