That was pretty good money back then, which added a lot of value to a bushel of corn. You better start raising and selling eggs like your mother did.

CORN PARITY IS $1.58; Support Price for 1955 Crop Is 4 Cents Below 1954's

WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 (AP) -The Department of Agriculture announced today the national average support price for 1955-crop corn will be $1.58 a bushel. This is the same as the minimum level announced before planting time. Last year's average was $1.62.
