1. Govt reports say what the govt wants them to say
2. The number of people spending money in hot spots is a very small percentage of the population (albeit a very visible one).
3. Inflation raises everything (wages and prices) and prices rise first and faster. 6 figures doesn't matter as much.
4. Whether they affect you or not interest rates are a staple of media talking points and certainly have an effect on voting behavior.
I've worked 31 years to develop a stable farm and income (im surprisedthat isnt a standard goal). Now that I'm relatively stable, my income gets me into the middle class. My family is fine but Inflation appears to diminish the accomplishment. | |
