NE ND
Farming son. Occupational Therapy daughter.
The land that my daughter will inherit will have a five year lease. First year of contract will be a low rental rate. Last four years will be what I consider a fair rental rate for our area. After we successfully live another year, new five year contract.
There is a limit to how much control we deserve from the grave. Rotating five year contracts give my son some certainty.
I also encourage my daughter not to sell her inherited land but if she does my son has right of first refusal.
