Wisconsin | 40-60% is considered healthy, but if nobody suffers nose bleeds or cracked skin, then you can keep the humidity whatever you want. If you have too much, then the ERV is the best way to reduce it. Might have to look at all the moisture sources also to get it below the condensation level. The metal spacers along the edge of the double pane make it tough to eliminate all condensation in all weather with 40% humidity, even 30% or 25% when it gets really cold. I know there are better designs but I don't know if they're common in normal domestic windows. | |
