26 year old Marvin casement windows here. ERV is used in the winter months with O moisture on any window. YMMV.

What % of house humidity do you target with the use of the ERV?

Is yours set on a run percentage timer or?

We just put an ERV in this winter after fighting condensation for years on 21 year old Anderson casement windows.

Thanks for any tips you’ve found using the ERV. Do you run it in the seasons other than winter?

Have no idea what % our humidity is at. I set it to where the windows are dry. Our controller is labelled by outdoor temp. It is set at about +10F. It runs 24/7 on low speed until humidity goes over the set point, then kicks it into high speed. I only run it during the heating season. No reason to pull humid air into the HVAC system in the summer. ERV ducts draw interior air from 3 baths, 1 laundry room and the kitchen. Discharge air goes into the furnace return duct. YMMV.
