Northwest IOWA | I called the locker plant west of Spencer IA this week to tell them we wanted mostly hamburger and a few choice steaks from the half Beef we are buying .This is probably the 6th one in as many years we have gotten there. All from the same feedlot in Harris Ia- The gal who answered the phone informed me that now the new owner of the locker sends a " link" so we need to open it to fill out the desired cuts of beef. I told her I don't like to do links or Apps - why not just grab a pen -and write down to package the usual steaks - and grind the rest to burger . Then when she asked my name - for the 2nd time I told her to be sure she has a pen ready to Write it Down so I don't have to repeat it 3X... Also when I call a business and a real person answers- I usually tell them - Thanks - Calling John Deere Financial is one of the worst for demanding acct # and crap- before you get to an operator | |
