I agree with the finish criteria. The steer in the picture has the kind of brisket fill I like.
For the sale barn I like to target a minimum of 15 months of age on HXA to optimize the weight buyers seem to like. Younger critters can fool me on weight if they're a fast grower. Maybe the issue is one of NATs favorite topics on the crop side..test weight.
