If you think buying a rough farm for $12k is a deal, all I can say is I would sell it for that and laugh all the way to the bank. Not to mention it is in a high property tax area and needs a pivot to produce a decent crop.

This kinda thinking reminds me of the premise for the movie The Big Short. It won’t go up 8% a year forever.



*Shrug*. I'm not the one with $2,000,000 spare change sitting around. Nor am I the one who bid more than $400/acre rent on a rough farm.

But, as long as there are farmers willing to bid every last penny of margin into the rent, then guys with that much spare change will keep bidding up the price.
