SE SD | What I'm noticing in the area, including my fields, is that the alkali spots are getting bigger & worse. Years ago, when equipment was lighter & everyone cultivated you didn't notice all these alkali spots everywhere in the field where the roots are being starved for oxygen. I'm thinking about buying a cultivator to spot cultivate these spots before the corn dies off. The corn will germinate, emerge & as soon as it gets about ankle high it will start to shrink & die off. | |
