I didn't read all the articles, but here, the solution is o figure out what will make that land produce and do it.
Whether it means clover until prices and potential yield improves or manure and fertilizer.
The taxes on land goes on. Decent farm land is around $8,000 an acre here or more. $8,000 will buy a lot of stuff.
Of course I am sure in other areas some land will never produce. Salt and no water are hard to overcome.
