WC MN | I don't understand Seifert's thought process. I live in an area where everything is farmed every year. If we are losing $100/acres the cure would be to plant more acres? Sure adding acres decreases overhead but in my part of the world your increased acres would be someone else's decreased acres.
To me this seems like the time where more marginal areas may go to hay or crp if possible. Maybe alternative crops in areas where available.
We'll see who is right in a few months I guess. | |
