We've been using teat sealants for many years and had concerns about possible issues when we switched to robots but thankfully no problems. 

Similar to you we strip out the sealant (as recommended) before the first milking.

A suggestion - would it be feasible to dump the first two or three milkings directly into the pail?

We usually divert fresh milk for three days and occasionally see flakes of the blue Lockout teat sealant in the bucket of fresh milk but only for the first milking or two.
