Big Sky Country | Poorboying it, I made some panels outa full treated 2x4 fir bridge decking. Boards had been cribbed together on edge for deck and I had a mile of them, they were dry and almost brittle.
Those nailed—20 p, would go thru 2 with enough to clench ends—-would give and flex when panels would get tweaked.
Those screwed would split at screws.
I love screws—-use them exclusively on windbreaks and built about 700’ lately—-but nails have their place | |
