NEMO | To be fair to the respondents, you didn't give near enough info in your post. I'm betting some neighbor up there has a set of keeper heifers that need a home in nice weather. At 79 falling on the ice is a real threat, and keeping water open at times can be a challenge. That said, you are implying (unless I'm reading the tea leaves wrong) that he wants/needs to stay active, and he probably does. Figure out a plan that keeps his mind active that doesn't involve the workload of 30 cows. A set of heifers in warm weather that he could give a few buckets to a day would work. If he goes in the house and is made to sit down, it's the end. My buddy Ben that posts on here is I think 77+/-. He gets out every day and answers the bell, good for him
