Stockers definitely could work, if he's on board with the idea. But for quite a few folks, just having a reason to get out of the house every day through the winter is important too. Whether that's the daily coffee shop gathering, or just checking on the cows; it helps keep peace with his wife, and it gets him some fresh air.
