Hope he really likes taking care of cattle as a hobby, lot of years if you buy a set of calves when grass is green and sell at end of year you might not make any profit at all, possibly lose money. If his cows are good and tame they might be easier for him to handle than chasing around some wild calves, vaccinating, treating sick ones etc.
