lake Michigan shore line/Mason county | Tom I have had really good luck spreading a nice layer of manure from where my cattle have stood and pulled hay from the feeders. There is almost always enough seed in the poo to reseed thin spots. Guess I might not set any yield records, but I have some very good quality beef hay. I have taken some of my light sandy soils south of the river and built these fields up to out produce some of the north farms. All of this with zero tillage, zero spray, zero seed purchased. Just some seat time with the turd hearse.
