They are the ones that helped propagate this idea. I know I've mentioned this before but 30 years ago Extension and Farm Credit sponsored a conference titled "Large Herd Dairy Conference ." Car load of locals went to it. They said you need to start positioning your farm to milk 1000 cows. We laughed the whole way home, this will never happen and we each mentioned something that was occurring at the time that would keep it from happening. Those reasons all went away and here we are but its not 1000 cows its 10000 cows. Can't remember the figures but they said we needed 3000 dairies milking 1000 cows or 1000 dairies milking 3000 cows to provide the milk we needed in this country. Ron
