I’ve never even been in the sale barn. I usually pull up about 8am tuesday, unload them and go to work. There’s usually a check in the mailbox on Friday.
I’ve been tempted to stay before. But I’ve always got work to do. And I might come home with more cows.
That's the rewarding part for me sitting there watching my cattle sale. I figure if I'm only getting a couple paychecks a year I can make the time to watch them sell. Sure can learn a lot sitting there watching what cattle bring and why some bring more than others.
What happens if you take calves to sale with rotting nuts?
