If I get hit .30 on a longhorn cross calf it makes my gut hurt. These I’m talking about need to be at or within .05 of the high for their weight at the sale.

Talking to local guys here, seems like most the under 100 cow guys don’t work their calves at all. Just roundem up and haul them a couple times a year. I’ve got a lot of colorful cattle, so I try and not give them any reason to discount me since not being angus or baldy is strike 1 already.
