NESD
Everyone recommended I use at least 1.5 inch to allow maximum flow. 2 inch was not much more so that is what I used. In one pasture, not gravity feed, where we have some elevation it's pretty slow. I'm glad I went a little larger. We plowed everything in below frost level so when you consider the difference in pipe size cost is a small part of total cost. Got some government help on some but not on all of it. Obviously less hassle on my own but enough dollars involved it's worth jumping through some hoops. Pumping out of a dam on part of it which doesn't work as well as a well. If I could get across a 1/4 mile of neighbors ground I could tie everything together with about a 1/2 mile more pipeline. Probably have about 2.5 miles now. Not an answer to OP question, just what I did.
