Flares were better for unloading ear corn, no corners to hold up the ears or to clean out. Gravity wagons were better than flares you didn't have to keep raising then up. My uncle had a couple of Heider Flares he put a bunch of side boards ond could bet close to 200 bu of shelled corn on them. I started with 2 350 Kilbros, when I retired had 2 Parker 4800 and 4 Parker 4000
