Subject: Trimming neighbors trees

I have a farm that has drainage ditches between me and neighbor. I don't want my field borders and ditches grown up in trees. There are no exact survey marks to go by as to where the ditch and boundaries actually are- it's always just been the ditch. I cut all the trees down that were on my side and cut the limbs that were overhanging on my side....I don't want branches and sticks getting into my equipment. I have had surveys done other places by multiple survey companies, and in my experience they're all going to be different by considerable amounts at times. I would normally clear all the trees while they're still small, but my neighbor wants the trees left alone on his side of the ditch. What does a guy do in a case like this? I think this will eventually be a mess.
