Subject: RE: Liver and onions

Iowa
I eat liver for the nutritional benefits and not so much for the taste. It's fried in a pan with some onions, olive oil, butter, and garlic salt. My wife does not like liver, so I use the same pan used for supper, put the liver on a plate, and reheat it in the microwave for the noon meals the next two days. That way I get two or more meals out of the same pan and only have to wash it once. Getting it to taste good (if there is such a thing) is usually a matter of adding things to cover up the taste of the liver. Onions, garlic salt, and butter is good for that. I'll sometimes add some sauce. The sauce I'm currently using is a mixture of mayo, ketchup, spicy mustard, and chopped dill pickle.
