Subject: Liver and onions

Pittsburg, Kansas

Liver and onions was a dish as a kid I hated when I saw my mom fixing it cause I knew she was going to attempt to get me to eat some. And I hated it with a passion. The liver was horrible and the onions just made it worse. Fast forward 50 years and I still didn't like it. But after going low carb my taste buds changed. Now I eat sardines regularly that I never would have touched ten years ago. Same with liver. I would say it is not something I crave even yet. But it is not too bad. I like the way my wife fixes it with a generous amount of chopped bacon added. And it is sure loaded with vitamins and minerals. We get a half beef regularly, and the liver comes with it. So we have liver and onions four or five times a year. How about the rest of you? My wife really likes chicken livers. I can tolerate them. Tonight's supper, liver and onions with bacon.
