If the farmer side of pork is so awful and has been off and on for decades....why fight it?
Have you looked into vertical integration or is that even a possibility in canada?
Someday I'm going to go north til the road runs out. Hopefully during the July 10-25th timeframe.
Sidebar: I feel similar cattle just a little more strung out and have the ability to cut costs fairly dramatically on the feed side if necessary.
As for a drought. It's not talk, its the real deal and we are teetering on full blown disaster. If you have never experienced it consider yourself lucky.
