Saronville NE
Ive been thinking alot about sone of this stuff while driving back and forth lately. My thoughts are I'm not overly worried about ethanol. But if you don't have size to yr operation I'm wondering a different set of issues. Mainly equipment, repairs, irrigation equipment. Everything is $100k anymore. Trade up to 10-12 yr old combine $100k. New pivot $100k. Tractors with 9k hours and 10 yrs old $100k. New bin $100k. Everything is 6 figures anymore and that's not new by any means. How do you pay for it once once crops go back to 25 cents over BE?

Been running numbers and doing more feed, rotation grazing on irrigation, hay etc. Inputs more reasonable not near machine expenses etc. Guy would be surprised how sone of that pencils vs row crop and not have to farm the county and survive.

Just rambling and pondering thoughts while auto steer back and forth planting corn.
