Pretty sure the proposed injection site has not been used previously to store natural gas.

Speaking of that, there is an area in Eastern Illinois where natural gas stored in rock formations has been leaking into ground water, making it not usable. Perhaps someone from that area can shed more light on that situation. Wonder what the ramifications would be if CO2 leaked into ground water, or into the air.
The rock formations to be used to store CO2 has to have a finite capacity. Does anyone have any idea how long they think it will take to fill it, and what the pipeline would be used for when that happens.

As others have said, the main purpose of the pipeline is to transfer money.

You don't fancy the idea of sparkling water on tap?
