Not about money or image at all. Thats a good one. Please tell me how selling carbon credits is not about the money.

This is an honest question, do you know anyone being paid for the carbon they are sequestering? I dont. They talk aboit farmers making money by it, on my 4000 ac I have never been approached to purchase anything from the no till , cover crop etc. Does anyome else here sell carbon?

Since you have already been using no-till and cover crops, you aren’t eligible to be paid for carbon credits. Only those adopting those as new practices are able to be paid for them. With some programs If you started using those practices in the last 1-4 years you might be eligible.
At least that’s how the scams were explained at a couple of meetings for different programs I attended. Wasn’t enough money involved for me to be interested. I’m sure the next couple of levels above the farmer are able to make good money selling them.
I know no one who has ever received a check for carbon credits.
