Generally speaking, one bag of replacer will last 6 weeks for one calf. Even if you cut that $90 bag by a quarter to save a few bucks, you're saving $22.50 per calf. Idk about you, but I don't work on margins so tight that I can't spend an extra $22 per calf in order to have a healthier, more productive animal.

Personally, I like 2x feeding for 6 weeks, 1x feeding for another week, then wean completely.

This is on dairy replacements.
