SC Wisconsin
I feed holsteins and cross calves from day old, 72 of them at a time so I cam speak from experience. Offer clean fresh water and a good quality 18% starter in buckets next to each other. Feed the bottle right next to that. Get a bottle holder that will hang on the gate next to the buckets of water and starter. After a few feedings they will know how to use the holder so you don't have to hold it for them. Side note, make sure the bottle is low enough that his nose is below the level of his back when eating to keep him from aspirating milk. Switch the water twice a day, start with a little grain in the bucket and sprinkle a little fresh on top each day. By a week he should be interested in it.
