| I run a 310hp cat track tractor with 30" tracks spaced at 90". I have hydraulic down force and run the wheel track rows on the same channel. In no-till they seem to require about an additional 100lbs of down pressure in good soil conditions, get in marginal conditions and they require a lot more. In cover crops I don't see much of a difference unless the conditions are marginal then I can see they require more down pressure.
As far as stand, don't see any difference. Yield, I'm not sure but checking corn in August I can't pick those rows out. | |
