Subject: RE: Hay down on wet ground

Southern Ontario
Tools: Discbine; Tedder: Rotary Rake.
If soil is wet I cut 4.5" high as narrow a swat as possible, this allows the land between the swats to dry, at the end of the cutting
I ted and let it dry down, when I think it's ready or a tad before I use the rotary to make fluffy windrow.
I must say that today's tools make it easier to make good hay.
Time laps depends on conditions and location so your results may vary!
