Subject: RE: Hay down on wet ground

NorthWest Indiana
Growing up we made reed canary grass hay on bottom ground that generally was wet. We cut high ( 4-6") off of the ground so the windrow could lay on top of the stubble and get air. Never ran over a windrow on purpose as it would wick water and be wet.
