Yorktown, TX | With tires, you can always decide where the weight is and maneuver the skid steer based on that so you don't tear up the ground. I load coastal hay out of the fields with mine, and since it is heavy in the front, I turn when I'm moving back so that it will pivot on the front wheels where the weight is. The back tires glide and don't drag the dirt and tear up the ground. With tracks you can't do that. Might just be a pet peeve of mine. Also, if you are working on cement, I would go with tires because you will be replacing whatever is on it often (you already said tracks are more expensive, and they are). JMO | |
