Subject: I bet this would work.

I have seen these little devices advertised in catalogs for years to keep long distance drivers alert.
You wear it like a "behind the ear" hearing aid, it has a mercury tip switch that beeps in your ear about the time your chin meets your chest.

Their loud enough to wake the dead. ;-)
