Subject: RE: Barnyard Machinery (Hydrant)

northwest tennessee
I was having a lot of trouble with the Simmons brand and I emailed them. We have used these for years and years and they started to not hold up. The owner of the company a southern man from georgia was real nice and called and said the company that was making the rubber parts down in the bottom changed the formula and didnt tell them and they were haveing problems. He sent me 2 new hydrants and 3 new kits. I took one apart and put a new kit in it and it is doing well but found that the galvanized pipes are corroding on the inside which also makes them hard to use. If I took it apart I would put a kit in it. They are hard to break loose on the top but will finally come. Is yours a Simmons brand?
