Rome, KS | I have both 2 and 3 wire right now. The 3 wire utilizes a control box mounted in an easily accessible spot that has the capacitors in it. Supposedly this is what goes out when the motor quits so you just change out the capacitor in the control box instead of pulling the pump and replacing the motor. 2 wire dealer says when capacitor goes out (lightning stike) the motor also gets damaged "a little" and will eventually need replaced. | |
