I'll disagree with Bernie about the cabs. IMO the Chevs and especially the Ford cabs are way nicer than any "Cornbinder" IH trucks I have ever driven. But it is not the cabs you will worry about if you are only hauling 10 miles.

I will agree that the IH chassis and driveline are much stouter than any Ford or Chev, and that DT466 engine is simply unbeatable. Great engine. Just be prepared to do some fixing on electrical problems occasionally. IH wiring leaves a bit to be desired.
