Missouri | Don't feel special, I think a lot of us are headed toward a real mess we'd rather not deal with. The rain melted the snow off and took our frost out so fast the bottom fields even flooded. I have plenty of silage, but I can't believe how much my cows are eating and they still look terrible. I don't care what it costs, I will have a concrete pad and bunk line with a good solid feed path before next winter.
A guy was in the welding shop needing his silage wagon axle fixed yesterday. They told him it'd be two weeks. I didn't bother asking how it broke, I'm pretty sure I know. Made me go look my spare wagon over just in case I bury my boat anchor.
On the way home tonight I had to pull a neighbor's truck out of his front yard before he and his girlfriend killed each other. Could hear them having words from several blocks away. Told him I had to go feed a group of heifers before dark and he better go get his some Chinese before he doesn't have one to feed. |
