Aberdeen MS
Roller is definitely on the list this spring. Neighbors have a 20' packer from Seneca they bought for scrap price that I can rent/use. Keeps my controlled traffic pattern in check that way even if a little more time will be spent.

Chopping the stalks reduced the amount from one field to the next by over a 1/3.

If the roller/packer doesn't pan out this year, I'm leaning towards using the Alloway after corn rather than a chopper in the 1460 to chop them up a year later. Chopping "in place" vs spreading, in my simple mind, gives a more even distribution.

We will see next spring. 2 fields of corn are full stack this year and 2 are just herbicide/bt traited. I think this fall some will get chopped and some standing to compare for the spring of 10.
