Subject: Planters, old versus new.

SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!
Most of my corn is planted by a custom operator with a 2 year old 12-30 Deere CCS. All the bells and whistles except insecticide. Trash wheels, spiked closing wheels, inrow fertilizer. I have some 4th year continous corn and I have to put a refuge plot on it. No bean stubble close enough this year. The old 7000 6-30, not my sweetcorn planter, has insecticide on it. Heavy duty downpressure springs, leading edge truVee openers, equalizers, shoup single spiked closing wheels and schafert rebounders. I planted that corn the same day as the rest of the field, 3-23. This is notil and you can hardly tell where it is planted with the 6-30 except I can row that corn from the road, I have to look to find the other spiking through. Maybe just need to find another 7000 and operator. LOL
