Subject: RE: Sprayer problems

There is pressure past the solution pump.

I took off the filter from boom #1 so as to see if enough flow would come thru the shut-off.

We tried reversing the hyd lines and that didn't help.

We backed another tractor and hooked the lines to it with the same results.

At 50-60% throttle, we have ~45# pressure. Turn on any boom and immediate no pressure.

The tractor--IH 1486 is too old for flow control. Have used it for the past 3 years and has worked fine before.

I wonder if anything is wrong in either the servo valve or the flow calculator.

We wondered if the tractor's hyd pump was going bad so plumbed in a 16 gal/min pto pump with the same results. The sprayer/solution pump required 8 gal/min.

Thanks for everyone's input. Some idea will get triggered for results. Keeping on trying new thoughts to solve the problem.
