Except for this: "Business is amoral...I stand on that statement,". Technically, I guess I should concede your statement. But I have seen GOOD PEOPLE make a difference too many times.
"Business" is a concept that does not exist in a vacuum, nor would it exist at all without the human component. No people, no business. "Business is amoral" is an excuse for those that wish to justify poor ethical standards. There are many faces to any business: it's presentation to its customers, its presentation to its employees, its presentation to its vendors and its presentation to its competitors. Failure to respond ethically in any of these four broad areas will weaken the business. (Course you need to know you're arguing with a guy that's waiting to see who is going to bump Walmart. They don't treat their vendors nor competitors very well. May have to wait a while, but it will happen.)
