Subject: RE: Converting a grain cart from PTO to hydraulic drive

Kenton, Ohio
we have run our 750 bushel j&m like that since new since we had no tractor with a pto to put on it. I will say though the pump we have on it is pretty big compared to another post that said they used a reel motor for theres. we are running a jd 8450 and we have one set of hoses that are 1 inch or bigger and the other set that are just normal sized. they both go to there own scv and it emptys the cart in no-time and still gives the operator time to get back to combine even running a 8 row head in 150-180 corn at 5 mile an hour. I also like it because it is more gentle on the shaft and auger than a sudden kick in of the pto. just my opinion....good luck!
